Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza is an actress and comic born on June 26, 1984. She plays April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. Her first web series was The Jeannie Tate Show after she performed sketch, improv and slapstick comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. In her later career she became a star on Judd Apatow Funny People, Scott Pilgrim and The World. It is her birthday today. Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of Bernadette Plaza (an attorney) and David Plaza (a financial specialist) was born in Wilmington Delaware. The daughter is of Puerto Rican parents and an English-born mother from Ireland. Plaza earned a degree at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and a Catholic, all-girls secondary school, in the year 2006, after graduating in 2002. As a student of the Wilmington Drama League, Plaza served as the President of the student government. In 2004 while she was in her second year of college, Plaza had a stroke that resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia, as well as a prolonged period of paralysis. She's now completely recovered. Plaza is a performer of improv, and sketches at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. The Laugh Factory as well The Improv are two venues in N.Y.C. where Plaza performed stand-up comedy. Plaza starred as Robin Gibney on E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street. The actress also appeared as Robin Gibney on The Jeannie Tate Show. Troopers was a satirical scifi program on CollegeHumor with her as the role of Princess. The year was 2014. Plaza debuted on saxophone in Cassorla's Bona Fide. She first appeared on Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings' in 2012. While she was Hawaiian Coffee, she appeared in the HarmonQuest show HarmonQuest 2016 as Gnome. The same year she portrayed Aaron Burr In Drunk History as well as Cat Adams in Season 11 of the C.B.S. TV series Criminal Minds. The role of the actress was revived by Plaza in Season 12. Following her announcement, Plaza appeared in An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
